I am just a normal guy.. albeit a bit crazy. This blog is going to be a home to random posts on everything from politics to gaming to Linux to programming to whatever I think of at the time.
A little background on me:
I served 4 years in the US Navy aboard the USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63, Forward Deployed, Yokosuka Japan)
I was a cook during those 4 years and have been an Office Administrator since leaving (well, up until April when I got canned). Right now I am looking for any type of work I can and hoping I can find it before its too late. I chose to host on WordPress because, well, money is lacking and my main hosts are going to be gone soon. I promise to not be too droll in my posts, but will make sure to warn of opinionated rants.
Gaming wise I am a player of City of Heroes (@Clorius, mainly on Freedom Server) which was just recently bought out by NCSoft, and I am also a Beta Tester, Game Founder, and Lifetime Member of Lord of the Rings Online.
Computer wise I have been playing with computers since the early ’90s / late ’80s – I started with a Tandy 1000HX and sorta went from there. I got into programming software using GW-BASIC, moved up to QuickBASIC, then Visual Basic. Right now I do a mixture of .NET programming, Web Programming (with PHP, JavaScript, Perl, etc – LAMP), and client side script programming (*nix). I dual boot Windows XP and Linux (Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon) and really am only staying a Windows user because of gaming and programming certain things (.NET mainly).
